Case Study

GCAL was contacted to design and deliver an accelerated course of learning to support the route to competency for a risk and compliance professional who was preparing an application to be appointed as the MLRO for a FCA regulated bank in London.

GCAL worked with the learner to identify specific work-based knowledge gaps and requirements relating to the firms’ products, customers and jurisdiction risks, and devised a plan of support to ensure that the learning could be applied immediately in the work place.

A programme of bi-weekly meetings was designed and delivered to meet the agreed learning needs, and online timed end of workshop assessments were provided and completed to confirm awareness of key learning expected outcomes.

The learner successfully completed the programme, and we we’re delighted to support a successful application and appointment as the MLRO!

Our support is ongoing, and role-specific support and guidance is continuing to be provided during the early orientation to the role to ensure that the MLRO is effective in the role.
